25 Little Surprises, One Big Emotional Moment!
Creating my very first Junk Journal: Christmas Advent Calendars has been quite the creative adventure!
One of my favorite parts was choosing what would go inside each of the 25 little packages. I had so much fun going through my collection of vintage papers, stationery, fabrics, charms, and all those little treasures I've collected along the way.
I loved thoughtfully selecting the pieces for each box, finding combinations that worked together, and making sure every Advent Calendar had its own unique personality.
I kept imagining someone opening a package each morning, smiling at their newest little treasure, and thinking about all the creative possibilities.
That's exactly the experience I wanted to create.

An Unexpected Emotional Moment
A friend came over to help me finish assembling and packaging all eight Advent Calendars. We were surrounded by papers, envelopes, ribbons, and what felt like a million little pieces!
And then I saw my very first completed Advent Calendar.
Not a pile of supplies. Not a work in progress. An actual finished Advent Calendar!
And I got emotional.
I'd been so focused on choosing, organizing, wrapping, and checking off all the little tasks that I hadn't really stopped to appreciate what I'd created.
Seeing my idea finally come to life was a pretty special moment.
And wouldn't you know it, my friend secretly caught the whole thing on camera!
Of course, after my little emotional moment, it was right back to work. We still had Advent Calendars to finish!
Wrapped With a Little Extra Love
I wanted the experience to begin before anyone opened their first numbered package.
So I added a little holiday confetti, wrapped everything in festive red tissue paper, and finished each box with a big bow.
My hope is that when someone opens their box, it feels like receiving a special gift, because that's exactly what I wanted to create.
These Advent Calendars started as a little idea, turned into a whole lot of tiny packages, and ended up becoming something that means quite a bit to me.
Now comes my favorite part: imagining all those little treasures finding their way into someone else's creative adventures!

Happy creating!
